Generate your own infographics

Thanks to the guys at Mashable we now have information about a startup that lets you find and make infographics with all kinds of web-based data. It might sound relatively boring at first, but for those of you who are graphically challenged (like myself) and don’t like the idea of hiring expensive freelancers to visualise your latest success for all to see – then Visual.ly is the perfect answer. No doubt the premium, ‘paid’ version will arrive down the line – but head over there now to sign up and generate infographics based on yours and others’ Twitter profiles for free. Here’s mine:

To check out how you can turn boring statistics in to impressive visual displays -check out the video below. It made me a bit dizzy and could be an example of how not to go overboard with the graphical element – but I guess it’s getting a point across!
