Nintendo Wii U – how will advertising adapt?

I know I’m late to the party by sharing the latest sneak peek at the Nintendo Wii U, but what I am really interested in, is how these new developments will impact the two screen revolution, made popular through the use of tablets such as the iPad. Certainly it’s not uncommon to have reality or TV shows encouraging interactive communication via Twitter, with the assumption most people watch TV with either a laptop, smartphone or tablet open in front of them. But as HTML 5 paved the way for spectacular YouTube digital advertising, and iPhone apps have allowed for clever uses of QR technology to encourage brand interaction – I look forward to seeing what creative advertising ideas will stem from the Nintendo Wii U. Certainly with two screens it can only mean exposure to messaging can double!
