When we watched Back to the Future and James Bond movies, we laughed at technological inventions that were created to depict human life in decades to come. Slowly we stopped laughing as the VHS turned to a DVD and then to Blu-Ray and the original Sony Walkman became hard rubbish when the CD and finally iPod changed the music landscape. We scoffed at the idea that we’d all be walking around with miniature mobile phones and well the Internet – only 10 years ago – need I say more? But today marks another leap of man kind. Virgin Galactic is now open for business. You too can book your place in space for a tidy sum.
For me this isn’t just a gimmick. It’s a testament to our world of possibilities and how the future of technology, like space – is infinite.
